PRINCE AND PARIS JACKSON ACCEPT LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR MJ

Michael Jackson’s eldest two children, Prince and Paris, accepted a lifetime achievement Grammy on behalf of their late father. Check out the video below and hear what the kids had to say:

Prince: “First of all, we’d like to thank God for watching over us over these past seven months, and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him.

“Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. Through all his hard work and dedication, he has helped many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you. We love you, daddy.”

Paris: “Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform this year, but he couldn’t perform last year. Thank you. We love you, daddy.”

FAVORITE GRAMMY MOMENTS!!!

We would have to say that Pink stole the show at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. The vocals and the acrobatics were awesome.

Lady Gaga brought Elton John out for “Speechless” which was pretty cool.
We didn’t expect Beyonce to perform “If I Were A Boy,” but it was good.
Jamie Foxx & T-Pain made it HOT!
Taylor Swift got Steve Nicks onstage for her performance….

Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli singing “Bridge Over Troubled Water” was beautiful.

How’s about some Lil’ Wayne, Drake and Eminem?

Last but not least… the Michael Jackson 3D tribute with Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Usher and Carrie Underwood.

BOY WARRIORS

War is on the mind of Vincent Nord’s latest gathering of emotive boys. Styled by Alexis Knox against a crisp white background, Harvey Haydon, Alex Prinz, Chris and Jose sport an eccentric array of garments and accessories from the likes of Ioannis Dimitrousis, Asger Juel Larsen and Marjan Pejoski. Making for an engaging editorial, the boys channel their inner warriors, putting to great use the diverse set of emotions that follow.

ACNE DOES FURNITURE

As if it wasn’t enough to torment us with 7-inch skyscraper booties and fancy Lanvin collabs, Acne is now making insanely covetable furniture, too. The Swedish design collective launched their first series of sofas and chairs at the Hotel Pozzo di Borgo, bka Karl Largerfeld’s old pad, in Paris yesterday. There’s a particularly fetching icy white chaise lounge in the line, just big enough to fit the booties of two size four human beings, which probably means it’s time to shape up and put the huggable beanbags in storage.

MALIN+GOETZ

What: Malin + Goetz Vitamin B5 Hand treatment, $20 at malinandgoetz.com

Why: Unless you live in one of those states where it's 80 degrees year-round (in which case you need to get off the computer and go outside), chances are your hands get pretty dry and wind-chapped around January. Don't try restoring moisture with an ordinary body lotion (it won't do the job) or with something overly gloopy and petrolatum based (just try typing with Vaseline all over your paws). M+G's oil-free hand treatment dries in seconds, and its fatty acids form a layer that's more protective, less greasy. Consider it your best ally through the harsh, hand-washing months of cold and flu season.

LYLE LODWICK FOR DAZED & CONFUSED

Dazed & Confused is one of the few magazines that are consistent in pushing the envelope and providing a mode for menswear to be expressed in a fashion that is not plagued by the superficial. As Lyle Lodwick explains, “it’s really smart the way Dazed takes a group of artists, all at the top of their game, throws them into a studio with a canvas (the model) and knows that some insane collaboration will be the final product.” Having been featured several times in Dazed & Confused, one of Lyle’s most memorable shoots was his work with Richard Burbridge for this past October’s issue. He recalled the shoot’s “incredible team, which is why the pictures turned out so rad. The legendary Christiaan Houtenbos did the hair and headpieces; Peter Philips, global creative director for Chanel did the makeup, Robbie Spencer from Dazed styled it and [if course] Richard Burbridge…” Although the end results made for a dynamic shoot, there was no gain without pain. “The shoot was about ten hours straight and [Lyle] was the only model, so in between each shot, [they] had to remove all of the makeup and paint to clear the pallet for a completely new concept…” As anyone can imagine, “by the end of the day, [his] skin was really red and hurt a bit”, but it was all in a successful day’s work.

THIS IS AMAZING!!

The famous “Dancing Inmates” perform a new routine from This Is It as an homage to the late Michael Jackson at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center.
This time around
Michael Jackson’s choreographer Travis Payne and dancers Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid flew to the maximum security prison to personally teach the inmates, according to USA Today.
The clips were meant to be on the This Is It Bluray and DVD released today, but wasn’t finished in time. Thankfully,
Sony Pictures DVD shared the clip with the world today.
